Process

The process starts with the cleaning and removal of rust, grease and any prior plating.

A further stage of cleaning includes glassbeading.

Then, very meticulously, smaller marks and pits are removed and larger pits are filled. At this stage most repairs can be done.

Next the part is copper plated and buffed to ensure depth and shine to the end product. This stage also allows for further detailing, filling, and sanding. Additional coats of copper may be applied if necessary.

Following the copper plate a nickel plate is applied adding more depth to the finished product while also covering the fine polish lines from the earlier procedures.

The final chrome plate is very thin but exceptionally hard and durable. With regular cleaning and the occaisional coat of wax it should last a long time.
